"We Give A Concrete Guarantee!"
All decorative curbing is not the same.
• Curbing cost is just one of the points to consider
Other Considerations:
• The size of the curb and if it is extruded "high up" on the ground
• CC&E's are 7" wide, 3.5" high and we use extra concrete to make sure it sits high on the ground. This ample size and procedure aids in keeping the curbing on top of the ground where it belongs. Smaller and lower curbing tends to get "swallowed up" over a a period of time. The profile we use is 3.5" high but actual curb is 4".
• A strong mix is needed so the curbing will hold up. CC&E's mix is 4 to 1. Also we can add fiber for added strength.
• How long the company has been in business.
• The expertise of the curbing crew.
• If pictures are shown, are they actual pictures of the company's jobs or generic pictures used for advertising of the product?
• Look for the curbing's smooth flow, not wavy either horizontally or vertically.
• Are curbing circles symmetric?
• Is stamping hand stamped or rolled? CC&E hand stamping wraps around to the front of the curb. Rolled stamping is just rolled on top.
• References and/or locations of previous jobs
• Quality not only of the curbing itself but the cleanup afterward.
We hope these few pointers help you.
